From Lake Vassivière to the Ocean at Saint-Nazaire, nature reigns supreme on La Vélidéale. Sensitive areas and reserves, as well as the 5 Regional Nature Parks, link the regions it passes through: the Marais Poitevin, Périgord-Limousin, Millevaches en Limousin, Brière and Gâtine Poitevine.  This itinerary along the water offers travellers a complete break from the daily grind, while allowing adventurers to link up with other itineraries (10 interconnected), and enjoy urban escapades between Nantes, Limoges and Niort.
